That, I'm not sure about - but it did occur to me that one solution to the sleeve problem might be to knit an assymetrical sleeve, or to measure the armscye resulting from sewing a large front to a small back, knit the sleeve to fit that opening, and damn where the underarm seam falls. (I do vaguely recall that 'damn where the underarm seam falls' was part of how Joan McGowan-Michael makes this work out.)
